Writing for Children
Eight-Week Term

Was $260.00   NOW  $177
High Intermediate to Advanced Level

If you are new to story writing, you should begin with Creative Writing 101 and follow up with Short Story to prepare for this class. Writing for children is not the same as writing for adults, and it is certainly not any easier.

This class will study outlining, basic plot for children, point of view as it pertains to children, and more on Show, Don't Tell. You will learn how to write believable dialogue for children, and how to build characters that children can identify with.

You will study proper scene construction for children and tips on how to edit your work. You will write three stories during this course, and you will have a finished work in hand upon certification. All of this with a personal tutor for only $260.

Students must have a good command of English, know proper punctuation, good sentence structure, and be able to accept constructive criticism. Expect 90 minutes of homework a week.
