Lynn Edward Carroll was born and raised in Greenfield, Massachusetts. He graduated in 1959 and joined the U.S. Marine Corps the same year.
While in the Marine Corps he attended various schools of education and majored in Economics. He retired from the Marines in 1979 and turned to commercial fishing for three years.
Gunny, (as we affectionately call him), was a Computer Systems Analyst for many years. In later life he opened Carroll's Convenience Stores from 1990 to 2004, then switched to Carroll's Cleaners from 2004 to 2008.
Mr. Carroll has completed a two-year course at The Institute of Children's Literature, and another two-year course at Breaking Into Print at the Longridge Writer's Group.
Gunny is the Course Developer and Mentor for Writing for Children and Potent Non-Fiction Writing. Lynn says, "I'm proud to be a mentor to fledgling writers."
You'll love his gift for details and warm personality.
Creative Writing Institute warmly welcomes Lynn as a Mentor and founding member of CWI.
